Spending the entire day in the garden with no one interrupting me is my idea of the perfect Mother's day. Oh, and I would not wash a single dish!
My ideal Mother's Day is no big to-do, but it would start with something delicious! A special breakfast like cinnamon rolls or popovers would be perfect. Then it's all about doing something I love. I see it as a mini birthday!
My son would help me in the garden, and of course, it would be a beautiful day with plenty sunshine! After a delicious lunch on the deck, I would visit my mother and bring her her favorite dessert, and I'd end the day with a phone call from my daughter.
I'd start with coffee on the patio then relax in the hammock with a good book while my family packs us a picnic lunch for an afternoon hike. After our hike, I'd take a nap while my family cleans and does all the laundry. I end the day with a glass of wine and snuggles with the kids.
First, I would sleep in as late as I please! My husband would shuttle the kids around wherever they need to go, and I would stay home and catch up on my favorite shows!
