Television Viewing

After a two-year study, the American Academy of Pediatrics concluded that children under the age of 2 should not watch television, nor should older children have television sets or computers in their bedrooms. According to the corresponding article in the August 1999 American Journal of Pediatrics, "Babies and toddlers needed 'direct interactions with parents and other significant caregivers' for the development of appropriate social, emotional, and cognitive skills."
