Things work out so wonderfully when something that you deem useless is the perfect solution for someone else. Truly, what is considered to be a treasure is completely unique for each person. In this story, young Mole takes his new shovel out into the yard with a ''Good luck and have fun!'' from his parents. As he digs, Mole finds a twig that is the perfect treasure for Bird, who is building a nest. Mole then digs out a shell that is the perfect treasure for Snail, who says it's just what he needs for a cozy house. Mole keeps digging until he finds another little mole digging underground. Voila! Mole has his perfect treasure, a new friend!
