The Cat Who Snored
Jean-baptiste Baronian
Illustrated by Martina Kinder
Meet Figaro, a fluffy, orange cat who likes nothing better than to sleep the day away. The only problem is that he snores so loudly the entire farm can hear him. As much as they love him, his friends the donkey, rooster, and dog very politely ask him if he would mind taking his naps away from the farm so they can enjoy a little peace and quiet.
Figaro graciously complies, and being the lazy cat he is, finds it's just too much trouble to go back to the farm and spends more and more time away. Ah, the peace and quiet, and oh, the mice. The farm is being overrun! So his friends bring Figaro back to the farm with a welcome fit for a king. The soft, warmhearted illustrations blend perfectly with this story of friendship and the lesson of focusing on an individual's strengths rather than on the less appealing characteristics.
