Negotiating the Prickly Points of the Tween Years
Julie A. Ross, M.A.
It felt as if divine intervention brought this book my way. I arrived at work after another all-too-familiar battle with my son, frustrated that we could barely talk to each other. Seeing this book on my desk made me nearly weep. Those of you in the throes of parenting a tween may relate and perhaps have discovered, as I have, that what used to work no longer does.
This book has become a lifeline as I navigate our mysterious and sometimes scary entry to adolescence. Because it is filled with real-life examples from the author's own work with preadolescents and their parents, her recommendations ring true and, even more importantly, work! I have opened this resource time and again for its easy-to-read suggestions.
