It is always a delight to find a book perfectly attuned to a young child's desire for excitement and suspense and to her yearning for security and predictability. Oliver Find His Way is a wonderful marriage of the two. Oliver, a young bear, is whiling away the time while Mama hangs the laundry and Papa rakes the leaves in the yard of their big old house. One of those big yellow leaves floating by proves to be irresistible to Oliver. He follows it past the clumpy bush and the twisty tree, completely oblivious to how far away he is getting from his familiar surroundings.
